- Jawed Habib and Indus Edutrain to train 10,000 people
Jawed Habib (JH) Group, one of the leading hair and beauty salon chains operating across India joined hands with Indus Edutrain Pvt. Ltd (IEPL), a partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to impart skill based training to the youth in beauty and wellness sector. It is an initiative taken to address the growing demand of skilled and trained manpower in India. The partnership aims at training over 10,000 unemployed youth with an initial investment of Rs 30 crore in the project.
Commenting on the partnership, Jawed Habib, Founder and Managing Director, Jawed Habib Hair & Beauty Ltd. says, “We have always tried our best to be a part of India’s growth story and make the best possible contribution towards it. My basic mission is to organise the hair industry in India and bring it at par with global standards by imparting training and regularly upgrading skills to benefit people connected to hair.”

JH Academics is known for having created a bulk of hair and beauty professionals throughout India. NSDC is a Public Private Partnership in India that aims to promote skill development by catalysing creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions.
IEPL partnering NSDC is a part of the legacy of IIIM Ltd, having skilled more than six lakh students in its presence of decade. It has a network of more than 225 centres across East, North east, North and Western part of India. Kushal Maitra, CEO and Director, IEPL adds, “Our collaboration with Jawed Habib will immensely benefit our beneficiaries in the remotest part of the states where we are operating, leading to meaningful livelihood.”
