Reliance Jio has launched an app 'Kumbh JioPhone' for the world’s largest congregation Kumbh Mela to be held between January 15 and March 4 in Allahabad. The app will include end-to-end information services about the event, real-time travel information, emergency helplines, and area routes, amongst others.
Reliance Jio Infocomm said in a statement, "Kumbh is the largest human congregation in the world, with over 130 mill pilgrims taking a holy dip over 55 days. During this Kumbh, JioPhone is introducing a digital solution that will enrich the spiritual experience of millions of pilgrims during the divine holy dip."
The app can be accessed from Jio store. The latest offering will have 'Family Locator' feature to help attendees stay close to their family and friends by getting their exact location and 'Khoya Paya' (Lost and Found) feature to help them reunite.
A spokesperson at Jio stated, "JioPhone is at the centre of innovation and the Kumbh JioPhone initiative continues to demonstrate our focus on bringing disproportionate and true value for the JioPhone consumers."
