Jockey expands presence via franchise route

Page Industries Ltd an exclusive licensee of Jockey International Inc. (USA) and Speedo International Limited (UK) is all set to strengthen its footprints across India and is looking for franchise partners. Currently, the company has 26 exclusive stores in premium shopping malls and 52 of such stores are located on high streets in metros, tier I and tier II cities across India, though the brand is sold in 23,000 outlets across 1,200 cities and towns pan India.

The company is into manufacturing of innerwear, leisurewear, sportswear and swimwear for men and women. In its endeavour to reach out to a broader consumer base, the company is going to open new stores in smaller towns and tier II cities as well. Each of the stores is designed in the international retail concept with premium flooring, fixtures, lighting and visuals.

The location of the store is chosen after a great deal of market research and understanding the demographics of customers, their consumption habits and buying patterns.
