Johnny Rockets to spread wings in India

Johnny Rockets Restaurant Group Inc., an Aliso Viejo-based brand, has signed a franchise agreement with Prime Gourmet Private Limited to pave the way for opening its diner chain in India. The agreement will allow the opening of at least 20 Johnny Rockets restaurants in India by the franchisee, Prime Gourmet Private Limited, over the next several years.

Johnny Rockets, which has 300 outlets in the US and internationally, has been rapidly expanding its global presence since last year.  Among other cities where it plans to roll out, New Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon are also included.

The restaurant chain began its operation via the franchise model in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Ecuador last month, followed by Massachusetts and Santa Monica earlier this year.
