Kentucky fried chicken (KFC), a chain of chicken and fast food restaurants is planning to take its store count to 200 by the end of 2011 in India, confirms a company’s spokesperson. The expansion will be a mix of company owned and franchised restaurants.
The company is targeting the metros and tier I cities to launch the news restaurants. Presently, the company is operating through 85 restaurants in India. KFC is one of the brands of Yum! Restaurants, which has introduced a range of 100 per cent pure vegetarian products containing all vegetarian ingredients and flavoured to suit the Indian palate.
