Kimaya has recently launched a menswear label Via Montenapo in Bengaluru. The brand is known for its custom made men’s shirts styled by Milan based designer Francesco Rossi and made exclusively with Italian fabrics from Canclini Tessile S.p.A. The collections were launched in a fashion show held at the Kimaya store. The brand’s focus is on achieving pan India penetration and presence where the demand for Indian designers is twofold the supply. It is in the process of finalising the roll out of franchised and company operated stores. It believes that the real Indian consumer base is not only in the metros but also in Tier II cities like Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Pune etc. It also has international plans for London, New York, South Africa, Japan, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait amongst others.
Speaking on the occasion Pradeep Hirani, Owner, Kimaya Fashions Pvt. Ltd said: “Bengaluru is a city buzzing with life and cosmopolitan crowd, while UB City is one of the most luxurious properties in the country. Together it is a win-win situation for the Kimaya store in Bangalore. Most of them accompany the women patrons at Kimaya and we have always been flooded with requests to cater to the fashion needs of the men too. Via Montenapo is a step in this direction. The philosophy of Cancilini and the brand mix of Kimaya are a perfect fit.”
