- KKC to scale-up its K-lounge stores to 180
Kewal Kiran Clothing limited (KKC) is planning to take its count of K-Lounge stores to 180 by the end of this fiscal. Presently the company has 136 K-Lounge stores across the nation. As told to Ramanjit Kaur of FIHL “We are planning to open every year 40-50 K-Lounge stores; this would result in around 180 retail stores by the end of FY10,” said Kewalchand P.Jain, Chairman & Managing Director, Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd.
Company has plans of opening most of its outlets in tier I and tier II cities through franchise route. Around Rs 50 lakh is required to take up the franchised outlet. K-lounge promotes many brands such as Killer jeans, Lawman, Easies and Intergriti.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Jain said, “Net profit margin for the first half of the year has gone up by 1.64 times because of improvement in realisations, cost control, better product mix and increase in revenues.”
