Kohinoor Technical Institute (KTI), a technical vocational training brand is looking forward to opening about 100 franchise centres in five states- Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana this fiscal. This will be followed by expansion in Karnataka and Delhi- NCR. It currently runs 45 company-owned and 32 franchise centres.
Speaking on company’s expansion plans, Sameer Joshi, CEO and Director of KTI, says, “These institutes will be set up through flexi franchise model. At district level, we will have be Master Franchisee route which. And at taluka level - due to financial incapability of franchisees in acquiring bigger space- we will have Micro Franchisees. Henceforth, we are targeting to be a pan-India institute by 2017 so that by 2020 we will have around 50 franchise centres in each state.”
Regarding the franchise business model, Joshi adds, “Our franchise partners are very significant to our business model. When we are expanding to the national level then the only way to reach out is going to be through our franchise model.”
The brand offers around 60 plus certified courses in 10 grades and 15 diploma courses. These courses are classified into level I, II, III and IV. By March 2016, it plans to offer new paramedical courses, retail courses, banking and finance related courses, insurance courses and travel and tourism related courses.
