RoboGenius program is based on learning-by-doing concept, which is being used by leading teaching institutions. Dr Shabnam Sharma, CEO, RoboGenius Academy, in an interaction with Franchise India, throws more light on the concept and franchising opportunities, the brand is offering.
What is the USP of your brand?
RoboGenius program is built on the principle of learning-by-doing pedagogy where children experiment with machines and mechanisms, pneumatics, renewable energy, micro controllers, sensors and servo motors. They are able to build and program robots to understand key STEM concepts within a hands-on, engaging and fun-filled environment under appropriate guidance from skilled mentors.
What do you offer to franchisees?
RoboGenius offers its franchisees an internationally accepted, proven and a recession-free business model, which entails low investment and a high RoI. We have a dedicated team to support our franchisees right from the nascent stage of site selection, architectural guidance, assistance to curriculum exposure, equipment, training, marketing and business activation support and much more. We have end-to-end solutions for our partners to generate revenue through varied products and solutions such as setting up a RoboGenius Academy, RoboGenius STEM & robotics labs for schools, conducting science and maths olympiads, robotics competitions training, and robotics teacher professional courses.
Tell us about your brand’s presence.
We started our operations in 2006 and adopted the franchise route in 2014. We are present in eight cities with one company-owned and 12 franchise units.
Where do you see your brand five years down the line?
I want to be a market leader in the education training industry. Our objective is to become the preferred robotics training facility for the children within the school as well as after the school. Our Robotics and hands-on learning solutions help students to bridge the gap between key theoretical concepts and their real world applications. In addition, they develop scientific enquiry skills which allow them to investigate, plan, test and implement their ideas, enabling them to reach their full potential.
Share with us your achievements in the last five years.
• We have successfully established our own flagship facility in Gurgaon.
• We kept the target of setting-up five facilities in 2014, but we established eight franchisees in the same year.
• Children from RoboGenius Academy have been participating at the national and international level of robotics competitions.
