Nirmala Sitharaman, India’s first women finance minister, in her maiden budget, has announced that the government will focus on encouraging faster development of the electric vehicle. The government, in the union budget, has allocated Rs 10,000 crore for faster adoption of electric vehicles and has announced upfront incentives for electric vehicles.
Recently, Niti Aayog has also moved a note to the Finance Ministry calling for the scrapping of all fossil fuel based vehicles by 2030.
Contributing towards India's mission to become the hub for Evs, Li-ions Elektrik Solutions has launched its electric scooter Spock in India. Priced between Rs 65,000-99,999, the electric scooter comes with a host of features onboard.
Spock has been designed specially for the Indian road conditions. It is powered by latest generation 72V 40AH lithium-ion batteries and it gets features such as GPS fitment, USB charging or mobile devices.
