Liberty takes another step in expansion

Liberty Shoes has drawn an ambitious retail expansion plan of adding 100 stores every year, depending on location and requirement. The brand has maximum number of stores in North India and this region caters to 65 percent of business. Presently, Liberty is present in 23 states, across 109 cities.

Anupam Bansal, Executive Director, Liberty Group said: “With an aim to reach our target customers, we have planned to open Liberty showrooms across India in metros as well as tier II cities. The Indian footwear industry is  growing at 10 per cent annually and attracting huge investments from national and international players and we have made conscious effort to reach out to all age group by opening stores in almost every state. The 100 stores being planned will be a mix of company owned showrooms as well as via franchise format.”

Anybody who can invest Rs 10-15 lakh and has an area of 800-1000 sq. ft can open a Liberty franchise store. Liberty has 400 exclusive showrooms and over 6000 multi-brand outlets across India. These stores are spread across metros, tier I and tier II cities.

Liberty Shoes is amongst the top five manufacturers of leather footwear in the world. The company is producing more than 60,000 pairs of footwear a day. The products are marketed across the globe through 150 distributors, 400 exclusive showrooms and over 6000 multiband outlets and sold in more than 25 countries.
