- Mad(e) In India to open 20 stores via franchising
Mad(e) In India, the brand that celebrates Indian culture with its wide range of lifestyle products, is planning to open about 20 stores across the country through franchising. It is also preparing to open a flagship store in Mumbai or Delhi at the end of the current calendar year.
“We are planning to open stores across all the metros and towns in the country while investing Rs 12-14 lakh per store. Spread across 300- 400 sq ft, these stores will be opened at high streets and leading malls across the country,” says Pankaj Acharya, Founder and CEO, Mad(e) In India. For expansions, the brand is raising around $5 mn through HNIs.
Started in 2013 under the holding of Indus Creed Lifestyle Marketing Pvt Ltd, Mad(e) In India is largely dedicated to women. It has 29 lifestyle products which include apparels, accessories, dining, home décor and knick knacks among others. These products are sold at in the notch premium price range while catering to 15 to 60 year old. Annual turnover of the brand for the fiscal 2014-15 was Rs 2.65 crore and it is targeting Rs 5.25 crore in the current fiscal.
