Magenta Mobility has extended its electric vehicle services to Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, and Varanasi, aiming to deploy over 2,500 EVs in Uttar Pradesh by 2025. The company plans to establish a robust EV infrastructure with fast-charging hubs to support sustainable transportation in the state.

Magenta Mobility, a pioneer in integrated electric mobility solutions, has announced its expansion from Noida to four significant towns in Uttar Pradesh—Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, and Varanasi. This strategic move is consistent with the company's aim to accelerate India's transition to electric mobility while establishing its position as a leader in sustainable transportation.

To facilitate this ambitious expansion, Magenta is building a robust EV infrastructure throughout the state. The network will include modern AC and DC charging hubs built in association with top Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and in collaboration with Jio-BP. These projects seek to provide a smooth and rapid charging ecosystem, paving the way for the deployment of approximately 2,500 electric vehicles (EVs) in Uttar Pradesh by 2025, primarily to meet the increased need for last-mile delivery solutions.

Maxson Lewis, Founder and CEO of Magenta Mobility, emphasised Uttar Pradesh's favourable environment for EV adoption. “The state’s incentives for electric vehicle deployment, along with access to skilled workers and land for infrastructure development, create a solid foundation for our expansion,” said Lewis. He emphasised that bolstering the company’s presence in key markets would be instrumental in accelerating the adoption of green mobility solutions.

Magenta Mobility's collaborations with industry leaders such as Flipkart, Amazon, Porter, Delhivery, and Kuehne+Nagel demonstrate the company's commitment to smoothly integrating its EV fleet into existing logistics networks. These collaborations aim to improve operational efficiency, reduce carbon footprints, and encourage widespread use of sustainable delivery methods.

Aside from its environmental benefits, Magenta's expansion is expected to create major employment possibilities in the region. The company intends to enlist over 1,200 delivery partners to ensure smooth operations and accommodate the growing demand for its services.

Magenta Mobility plans to play a key role in the region's transformation to greener, more sustainable transportation by leveraging Uttar Pradesh's EV-friendly regulations and expanding its infrastructure. This expansion is a significant step in India's transition to a greener, electric-powered future.
