Mahindra First Choice Services (MFCS), a chain of multi-brand car service workshops, has set up its first Franchisee Owned Franchisee Operated (FOFO) store at Vidarbha in Nagpur. At present the brand has 77 centres across India and hopes to close the next fiscal with 200+ FOFO centres.
“We see great potential for the multi-brand car servicing business in this market. Nationally, we intend to close the next fiscal with 200+ FOFO workshops. This will help us enhance the scale and depth of our operations and enable us to reach a greater number of potential customers across the country,” says company’s Head of Marketing and Franchise Business Alok Kapoor.
While in the long run, MFCS is intending to open 500 workshops with investment of Rs 250 crore by 2018. It will be investing in creating basic infrastructure and expanding its network across the country.
The company, which was established in 2008, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. It aims to offer a world-class car servicing experience through fully trained technicians and a dedicated technical training centre to develop capability. With a combination of company-owned and franchise operations, MFCS hopes to become one of the top three car service providers in the country by 2018.
