I always dreamed of setting up my own clinic rather than working for someone else. When I moved to Goa, I began working to make this dream a reality. Many people told me that a diet clinic would never work in Goa because the people here stick to their staple diet of fish curry and rice irrespective of the calories. They also told me that the concept of a nutritionist would not work in Goa and I would be better off working in a metro like Mumbai or Delhi. This scepticism in people’s minds made me rise to the challenge and stick with my plans of opening the Diet Clinic in Goa and I'm glad I did. The concept has been very well received and people are becoming increasingly health conscious. We don’t believe that one must starve themselves to lose weight. We encourage healthy eating and healthy substitutes and encourage our patients to analyse whatever they eat.
When and what motivated you to adopt the franchise route for your brand?
There are various ways of achieving vertical growth in a business, but to achieve apt horizontal growth nothing is better than the franchise business model. For Diet Clinic, the philosophy is low investment and a high RoI business which makes it a unique opportunity for franchise seekers. As everyone at Diet Clinic is quiet confident of the concept, they are looking for entrepreneurs or professionals who wish to be a part of the ever-growing diet and wellness industry. So if you are a passionate, enthusiastic and creative person, who wants to try things which are different, wants to walk the ways which are your own or wants to share the vision of making India fitter and healthier, this partnership is just what we could both be looking for.
