Ethnic wear brand Manyavar has been given away the ‘Fastest Growing Retailer Award’ by the Kolkata-based Indian Chamber of Commerce.
Manyavar, which continues its expansion programme both in the country and abroad, launched its 383rd store in Bengaluru last week. The brand is now spread across 148 cities in the world. It wants to raise its merchandising tie-ups with retail chains like Planet Fashion, Ethnicity, Central and Pantaloons.
The company has been growing at 50 percent CAGR for the last five years. The brand expects a turnover of Rs 700 crore by 2016. Early this year also, it was declared as the most ‘Admired Brand of the Year’ at 15th Annual Images Fashion Awards.
Manyavar is known for its wide range of sherwanis, kurtas or even Indo-western wear. Other than ethnic wear, it also has party wear and accessories. Manufactured at its facility in Kolkata, on a capacity over one million units of apparel, the category’s highest in the world.
