Ethnic wear brand Manyavar has made its entry at Calicut in Kerala by inaugurating its 386th store in the city. This is brand’s first store in Calicut and fourth one in Kerala. It now has its brand presence in 149 cities worldwide.
“Our esteemed association with Manyavar Shahim ji and their incredible support and strength has taken our banner even higher in the world, raising our store count,” says Ajay Modi, Director of the company. Earlier, the brand opened its 385th outlet in Kammanhali-Bengaluru, Karnataka. This is 17th store in Bengaluru and 27th one in Karnataka.
By 2018, Manyavar is aiming to open 600 exclusive stores, one million square foot of retail space which will include 100 flagship stores and 50 global stores. It also wants to raise its merchandising tie-ups with retail chains like Planet Fashion, Ethnicity, Central and Pantaloons. The company has been growing at 50 percent CAGR for the last five years. The brand expects a turnover of Rs 700 crore by 2016.
Manyavar is known for its wide range of sherwanis, kurtas or even Indo-western wear. Other than ethnic wear, it also has party wear and accessories. Manufactured at its facility in Kolkata, on a capacity over one million units of apparel, the category’s highest in the world.
