Maple Bear pre- school chain plans for aggressive expansion in south, east and central India via the franchise route. In India Maple Bear is a joint venture between Modi Eductech and Global Schools, Canada that combines the best of Canadian educational practices with a child-focused system in order to bring Canadian early childhood and elementary education.
Incepted since 2004, the brand starting franchising in 2005. Currently, there are 84 MAPLE BEAR school operational across the country and targets to grow steadily on an average of 30%.
“Maple Bear targets to grow steadily on an average of 30%. We would like to continue to grow increasing it to 50% this year, ensuring that the support services continue in the same spirit,” says Hazel Siromoni, Managing Director, Maple Bear India.
17% of Maple Bear franchisees own more than one unit out of which most of them are women franchisees. “I believe franchising system certainly will assist the edupreneurs if the brand has a sound process system at all levels including operational, academic, overall maintaining the quality of school,” she adds.
