Marrybrown Fried Chicken Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s largest homegrown fast-food chain, plans to open 35 outlets in the country by next year. The brand will also be opening more outlets in Malaysia, Middle Eastern, African and other Asian countries.
Sharing information with Abha Garyali of FIHL, Halan Harikrishnan, GM, Operations, MGM Group said, “We will be opening 35 more outlets by next year. These outlets will be located in Southern India in states of Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad etc.” The group is focusing on developing business in emerging markets where people are having high disposable incomes and love to eat out.
The MGM Entertainments, a division of the renowned M.G.M Group of Companies is the master franchisee of the Marrybrown Chain of Family Restaurants for South India. The first Marrybrown outlet was opened in Chennai in 1999. MGM has plans to expand the number of outlets to 100. It provides training, marketing and raw material to the franchisees and also helps maintain quality and ambience at the fast food outlets. The company is seeking for franchisees with sound financial background and strong networking to expand the business.
