Secrets of building a legacy brand tokeep the brand value intact

Monica says, “We have always focused on developing our products for masses; our products are priced to suit the pockets of many. Also, our content is easy to understand and is for every platform, be it online or offline (print, digital, apps) so that it can reach the readers through any medium. We constantly innovate; whenever we plan to do something new, we keep an eye on the emerging future trends and design products accordingly.”

She adds “We are the ones who have face-lifted the way education look like when we came up with reference books, we were the pioneers in that. Also, we are the only publisher which publishes books for all classes, all subjects, and all educational boards in India and in most of the languages spoken in the country along with a few international languages. And, most importantly, whichever country we go to, we design products which are indigenous in terms of their curriculum. All this comes under our forte and we have maintained this for years.”

What Keeps her Going?

Monica says, “I believe that the legacy of a brand can be maintained when everyone in the organization will take initiatives and align their personal goals with the organization goals. We are a people-oriented company. I like to train my people and give them the best opportunities in life which help get their focus and hard work with dedication. One of the key initiatives taken by us at MBD Group to make decision making an agile process is the delegation of authority. We truly believe that it is an essential tool in the development of any organization and moreover, it reinforces the internal management structure. In our organization, each individual clearly knows what work or initiative one owns. Hence, each one has the authority to decide their own way and style for getting things done and achieve desired results. However, we ensure that during crisis situation the leadership is easily accessible and approachable. All this helps us in upholding the legacy of our brand.”
