
Medimix brand, a product of Cholayil company, is now aiming to venture into other skincare products such as creams and body lotions. If all goes as per the company’s plan, it will floating its new range of skincare products by next year.
Elaborating on the company’s new step, Pradeep Cholayil, Chairman and MD, Cholayil said that brand has plans of expanding it under newer products and company is working on it. It will be focusing on skincare only, since Medimix is synonymous with skincare. Creams and lotions is one market that the company is now focusing on, because it sees a good opportunity in that area. Brand will be launching its new skincare product line in the third quarter of next fiscal.
The brand has already expanded its range by launching its prickly heat talc and face wash apart from its popular ayurvedic soap. Recently, it also floated its hygienic hand wash to further penetrate its presence in the segment.
Apart from Medimix, the company also has two brands Krishna Thulasi, which it acquired in 2011 and Cuticura, focused for the southern markets, especially Kerala, but Cholayil said the company would be rolling out these brands to other regions of the country next year.
Cholayil exports its products to around 25 countries including the Middle East, US, South East Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and exports contribute to around 30 per cent of overall sales.
