EVOK, the home interiors retail chain by Hindware, plans to open mega stores in key South Indian cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Vizag and others. The brand recently rolled out its sprawling 12,000 sq. ft mega store in Kochi. The company plans to open more than 50 new stores by 2014 which will be a combination of franchise and company-owned stores. It successfully operates 15 speciality stores across India and Kochi store is the 16th mega store. The company will add another eight to ten Mega Home stores by the end of 2012, continuing its expansion focus in Tier- I and Tier- II cities.
Speaking at the occasion, D K Jairath, CEO, HHRPL, said: “EVOK, which has already established its leadership in north India, now wants to expand to the south markets and establish itself as ‘the destination’ for home interior solutions.”
The launch of new mega stores is a part of Rs 250 crore investment plan of the company and its vision to become the ‘first choice partners’ of Home Interior solutions for customers in India.
The company’s rigorous expansion plan is to establish its retail operations pan-India in locations like Indore, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Vashi, Nashik, Chennai, Coimbatore, Vishkapatnam, Kolkata and other cities.
