MG Motor India Ltd, an arm of China’s SAIC Motor Corporation Ltd, has launched its first experience centre and dealership in Gurgaon, India. The company will begin with a network of 120 premium dealerships in the country and will further increase it to 250 by September.
The vehicle manufacturer invested Rs 150 crore for the new India headquarters and the experience centre. Its first flagship store houses the brand’s sales operations.
Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, “Our first interaction with the customers in a creative and experiential environment is essential for the MG brand and creates a strong foundation as we begin our journey in India. The one-of-its-kind flagship experience store redefines the traditional car buying experience in India, in line with the demands and requirements of new-age customers.”
The carmaker will further introduce its first electric vehicle, expected to be priced below Rs 10 lakh, in India after the launch of its first vehicle Hector.
