Microsoft India will set-up 10 artificial intelligence (AI) labs in universities across India. The company is aiming to skill more than 10,000 developers and train 5 lakh youth across the country over the next three years. In order to achieve this target, Microsoft has already collaborated with 715 entities for implementing a comprehensive AI strategy.
NITI Aayog and Microsoft India had partnered to build AI and data sciences capacity in India and upscale the youth. Under the initiative, Microsoft will be using AI for developing and adopting local language computing and teaching a workforce through education.
In a bid to skill/reskill developers, academic institutions and students in the areas of AI and data sciences, Microsoft will leverage content from the Microsoft India AI Professional Certificate program.
Microsoft India said, "We are also an active participant along with CII in looking at building solution frameworks for application in AI across areas such as Education, skills, health and agriculture."
