mindSpark Learning's $1 million grant for education has impacted 4,253 educators from 78 schools across the country. mindSpark Learning, launched on January 25, 2018, is a non-profit dedicated to re-engineering education through educators with unique professional learning experiences for both the school leader and teacher.
In January, Morgridge Family Foundation donated $1 million to create this grant in partnership with mindSpark Learning. Apart from this donation, local businesses, foundations, other philanthropic entities, individuals, schools or districts themselves have provided more than $400,000 in matching funds. Both donated and matching funds have helped mindSpark Learning to offer its institutes, professional development, and education accelerator programs to interested educators, schools and districts for half the price that they would normally cost.
Kellie Lauth, mindSpark’s CEO, said, “Technology and automation are changing workforce dynamics. To better prepare for this, it’s more important than ever that students fine-tune their creativity, critical thinking, leadership, emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills”.
