- Mukul Nagpal Aims to Empower 100k People in 2019 Through His Fitness Business
In a casual chat with MukulNagpaul, owner of PMF Training and one of Asia’s top Personal Trainers, shares his struggles, preparation and future goals for 2019. Recently, the 31-year-old fitness fanatic became the first athlete from Punjab to complete the Ironman Race, one of the toughest and most challenging triathlon race, organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC).
The Much-needed Change
Mukul shares that being an entrepreneur and a trainer himself, he had to balance out his routine by cutting down on his social life so that he could make time to prepare himself for the competition.
He says, “I have my own fitness venture and had to slow down the expansion as I had to give more time to my training. I had to make a lot of adjustments to my schedule and being a busy personal trainer had to reduce and be very selective with the number of people I train.”
Goal-setting
Entrepreneurs often get confused between keeping their goals. Some keep short-term goals and achieve them step-by-step and overlook the long-term goals, getting entangled within their struggles.
Mukul is more focused and knows how to balance these goals out. He says, “I prefer keeping a long-term goal (roughly around a year) first as it sets the tone to achieve something big and then divide it into short-term goals (3months each), which ensures if you are on track or not.”
Target for 2019
A successful entrepreneur is one who learns from past mistakes and sets targets keeping the future in vision.
Mukul says, “My life’s goal is to empower at least 10 million people to lose fat and gain confidence, live a healthier lifestyle and be happy. For 2019, the goal is to empower at least 100k people.”
He adds, “My business goal is to empower at least 150 + people through online training and 10k people with other information products. We are soon coming up with online fitness challenges and online fitness scholarships plus creating e-books.”
Implementation
Mukul states, “Most people have health and fitness goals starting with the new year but a lot of them leave their fitness journey due to lack of a goof fitness coach, less time to go to the gym, and so on. In the end, they lose their motivation, and so we are planning to start a new year Online Fitness Challenge to solve these issues.
Women have to juggle a lot between family and work, which is why they are not able to spend too much time to take care of their own body and we believe that if the lady of the house is healthy then the whole family also adapts it. So, we will be launching our Online Fitness Scholarships for ten women through which they can train from anywhere in India with us.”
