Myntra Registers the Biggest-Ever Opening Day for its Big Fashion Festival with ~19 Million Visitors image
The opening day saw an overwhelming response with ~19 million visitors from across the country. The first day witnessed customers shopping over 4 million items, of which 40 percent of the orders were from tier-II & -III cities and beyond.

Online shopping major Myntra’s biggest-ever edition of Big Fashion Festival has been off to an incredible start on October 4 with the ongoing event recording purchase of nearly 6 lakh items in the first hour.

The opening day saw an overwhelming response with ~19 million visitors from across the country, making it Myntra’s highest-ever Day 1 of BFF thus far. The first day of the 8-day event witnessed customers shopping over 4 million items, of which 40 percent of the orders were from tier-II & -III cities and beyond.

The key highlights of the day were, around 19 million visitors flocking the website, with 60 percent of the shoppers being women, 20 percent of the shoppers being first time shoppers, the concurrent app users were at 6.7 lakh at midnight event launch and 8.6 million customers had shortlisted 83.6 million products during pre buzz, registering 143 percent growth in the number of people who started over last year. While the top categories for women were ethnic wear, western wear, beauty & personal care, it was casual wear, occasion wear, workwear, and sports apparel for men.

Furthermore, the first day saw beauty and personal care top the charts with over 190 percent growth over the last year, and accessories and sports apparel became the next best sellers with 80 percent and 75 percent growth.

Popular products from varied brands on Day 1 of the event were Roadster t-shirts, H&M sweatshirts, Libas kurtas, FM jeans, in apparel; BoAt headphones, handbags from Allen Solly, Baggit and Lavie, smartwatches from BoAt and NOISE, backpacks from Wildcraft, in accessories category; M.A.C. and Maybelline lipsticks, Biotique face wash and cleanser, Lakme moisturizer, Roadster deodorant, in beauty and personal care products; H&M sweatshirts, t-shirts from Max, Pantaloons and Hellcat, Vastramay kurta sets, dresses from Wishkaro, Sangria and Aarika and footwear from YK, in kidswear category.
