NanoHealth, a social venture founded by a group of Indian School of Business, has launched health care services in association with GVK BIO, for slum dwellers, says a PTI report.
The healthcare services will be offered by creating local health networks and using innovative technology aiming to bring cost-effective healthcare to the doorstep for urban slum dwellers, GVK BIO said in a statement.
GVK BIO's proprietary HEART (Health Emphasised Analytical and Reporting Tool) platform is a cloud-based healthcare analytics framework with multiple applications in order to assist quick medical decision support, it said.
“The mission of HEART is to improve general health and reduce or reverse progression of chronic diseases by building patient centric, high quality healthcare and clinical systems that are simple and accessible to all,” Shiva Subramaniam, SVP and Head, Informatics told PTI.
NanoHealth CEO Manish Ranjan said the mission is to prevent premature deaths caused due to chronic diseases in urban slums. "We have a strong team and with the help of credible partners like GVK BIO, we are making progress every day. Our journey as a social enterprise began while attending the healthcare management program at the Indian School of Business (ISB) and our alma mater has been very supportive and encouraging of us pursuing social entrepreneurship as a career option," said Ranjan.
