- Natural ice cream to spread its flavour in Delhi
Natural ice cream, a pioneer in making preservative free ice creams is planning to expand in Delhi. Presently, Natural ice cream has a total of 117 outlets.
Explaining about their expansion plans, Srinivas Kamath, Director, Kamaths Ourtimes Ice creams Pvt Ltd. says: “In the first phase, four to five stores in Delhi NCR will be company owned and operated (COCO) as the investment in real estate, opening stores in prime location and marketing cost is very high which may not be suitable for the franchisee. We will consider franchising in the second phase after reviewing the performance of first phase stores."
Natural ice cream is all about freshness, flavour and people. It began its journey way back in 1984 in a 300 sq ft store in Juhu, Mumbai. Natural ice cream is famous for making ice creams using only fruits, dry fruits, chocolates, milk and sugar. They do not use any chemicals, stabilisers or artificial colours. The ice cream contains less air which makes it rich and creamy. The brand uses a rare combination of traditional methods and modern technology.
R.S. Kamath, founder of Natural Ice Cream wanted to take Kulfi, India’s beloved desert to the heights of popularity. Thus, the creation of a sensational combination of Kulfi and ice cream comprising of a mix of fresh milk and mildly blended flavours came about. He wished to share this creation with the rest of the world and started Natural Ice Cream at a small parlour in Juhu, Mumbai, making way for a new era of frozen dessert in India.
