- Naturals salon join hands with Arya Vaidya for global operations
With an aim to introduce Ayurveda-based beauty services in the international market, Groom India salon and spa, the parent company of leading Naturals salon, has recently joined hands with Coimbatore-based Arya Vaidya Pharmacy. The salon and spa brand has already entered in UAE market with its presence in Dubai. It will soon enter in the US market, expectedly within current fiscal.
Reportedly, Arya Vaidya Pharmacy will provide Ayurvedic beauty products, standard operating procedures, trained manpower and also provide training to the staff. The tie-up will help Naturals launch its services in the international market.
“In the international market, especially in the developed markets, it will be the 'Indianness' (sic) that will make us stand out in the crowd. We are providing a combination of services, which includes ayurvedic massage and spa, yoga and salon service. Among the Ayurveda-based beauty services, oil massage of the head, ‘njavarakizhi’ a treatment to rejuvenate the nervous system and facials with ayurvedic products will be major offerings,” shared C K Kumaravel, Co-founder of Groom India Salon and Spa.
He believe, there is a growing demand for Ayurvedic products and services among native population. The Ayurvedic service will be first introduced in the US. Naturals is signing up with a master franchisee for the US, a company floated by Indian entrepreneurs.
In the first phase, the master franchisee will open six salons in San Francisco and after reviewing the response, will replicate the model in other states of the US. It will enter into the franchisee partnership in the first week of November.
Significantly, Naturals has already launched its salon in Dubai with the help of its joint venture partner Falak Holdings. The 26:74 Joint Venture (JV) between Groom India and Falak will open 20 salons in Dubai and seek franchisee partnerships in other Gulf region. Ayurvedic service will be introduced in the Gulf in the second phase starting three months later.
“We are also receiving enquiries from markets like Singapore, Malaysia, North Africa and UK. We hope to see Naturals to have international brand turnover of Rs 200 crore by 2017. The target is to have 100 salons in 10 international markets by 2016 December,” added Kumaravel.
As the JV partner, Naturals will invest Rs 8 crore in GCC in the salons, academy to train beauty professionals and brand building.
