- New app ‘BeautyTracker’ flags possible risks or complications in beauty treatments and products
Irked of false products’ side effects or anxious of investing in surgical treatments seeing wrong examples shared by friends? Not to worry more, as a newly launched mobile app can cure all your doubts in one click.
UK-based legal firm Irwin Mitchell has launched an exclusive mobile app with ‘Safety in Beauty’ campaign to help consumers shop quality products and services.
Aimed to help consumers undergoing cosmetic surgery track their procedures and track hold of companies to account if things go wrong, the ‘BeautyTracker app’ allows patients to keep a log of their treatments, details of the aesthetics clinics and to source links to independent sources of help if their treatment is unsatisfactory.
The app flags any risks or possible complications from beauty treatments and products. It also advises and provides assistance if the certain procedure has any complication oris not apt for the consumer.
Commenting on the app’s demand, Mandy Luckman, a Partner and Specialist Cosmetic Surgery Lawyer at Irwin Mitchell shared, “Our specialist cosmetic team has seen a remarkable rise in enquiries from individuals that have sustained significant and sometimes permanent damage, followingnegligent cosmetic procedures. There are several patterns emerging-in that patients have often not been properly warned of the risks to their health before undergoing their treatment.”
Reportedly, users can journal previous appointments and any problems with a treatment. It becomes an archive or personal beauty passport.

A test preview of the app held on June4, 2015, at W Hotel inLondon. The revolutionary app that would empowers buyers of beauty products to purchase safely and invest in right services, is in its first phase of development and testing. It will continue to refine information and support as consumer testing and feedback is received in its first year of launch, reported UK-based news agencies.
