- Nirula’s eyeing 100 outlets by 2011
Nirula’s, a Gurgaon based hospitality group, is planning to open around 100 outlets (restaurants, ice-cream kiosks and express outlets) by the end of this fiscal year. These will be a mix of both company owned and franchised outlets, confirms a company official.
The company is targeting a number of cities such as Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mumbai, and Bengaluru for its expansion. Nirula’s is looking at transit locations like railway stations, airports, bus stands and metro stations and other high footfall locations including malls and high street markets to open these outlets. Presently, the company is in talks with a number of potential franchise partners. The company intends to expand its operations in India through healthy and strategic growth.
Recently, the company has launched its first chocolate ice-cream and sundae brand ‘Choconess’, which is going to offer around eight ice cream and seven sundae flavours. The company is presently operating through 75 outlets in 16 cities across India.
