- North India’s leading wellness & salon brands @ Wellness India’s show in Chandigarh
More than 100 attendees, 50 + leading salon brands, 25 + fitness services & retail brands, renowned beauty and make-up artists, hair stylists and many more wellness brands attended the Curtain Raiser Event of the 4th Edition of the Indian Salon & Wellness Congress & Awards 2015 at the Taj, Chandigarh on 24th’ Jan organised by Wellness India, a part of Franchise India.
The preeminent curtain raiser event celebrated the artistry and skill of the scalability of the wellness and salon industry for the 4th Edition of the Indian Salon & Wellness Congress & Awards 2015 which is going to be held on 10 Feb’2015 at Taj Vivanta, New Delhi. After four successful years, Wellness India has upped the ante by re-christening their mega event - Indian Salon & Wellness Congress & Awards 2015. The soft launch of this congress has been the benchmark in Punjab’s history. The soft launch witnessed exemplary discussions and outstanding networking that will inspire new trends in the wellness industry.
Focusing on everything from starting a salon & wellness business to invaluable insights into how to add efficiency to your operations by rejuvenating your salon and wellness offerings and adding optimum level of bespoke service needed to attract and retain clients. The event witnessed attendance of who’s who of the tricity’s salon brands. Veer Kaul, MD, Headmasters, Richa Aggarwal, Owner, Cleopatra and Naunihal Singh, Director, Strands Salon were seen actively discussing the opportunities and challenges of the industry with the other salon owners of the tricity and Punjab.
As per Richa Aggarwal of Cleopatra, “Wellness India has done an excellent job of organising this curtain raiser event in Chandigarh as the city has a lot of potential for beauty brands. We have been associated with Franchise India from last year as we participated in the Salon Congress last year too.”
An active discussion round was also organised by Wellness India at the event wherein franchising and other scalability models for business expansion were dicussed. During the discussion, Veer Kaul of Headmasters said, "For running a successful franchise business, a person needs to create a technology platform and put his systems in place to become successful."
Whereas, Naunihal Singh, Director, Strands Salon commented: “Franchising has helped us manifold in growing our business and enabled us to establish over 40+ salons across India. We seek great potential in franchising as a model to increase one's brand presence."
Talking about the challenges of this industry Dr Simer Kaur, who runs three centres of Oxizone Fitness & Spa in Chandigarh & Punjab, spoke of different market strategy she adopted to take her brand forward. Initially, she arranged free blood checkup and eye checkup camps for the people. “Besides serving people, it helped us enrolling them especially senior citizens who liked to join our fitness centre,” she told the gathering.
The present edition of the congress has evolved from the first Indian Wellness & Salon Congress organised by Wellness India four years back. Over the years, this event has become an annual event under the aegis of Wellness India and also with active support and co-operation of leading brands and entrepreneurs across the spectrum of Beauty & wellness Industry. Now, Indian Wellness & Salon Congress & Awards has earned the reputation of being one of the nation’s biggest show around beauty & wellness. The evening witnessed the guests enjoying the lavish drinks and dinner organised by Wellness India during the Curtain Raiser Event. The excitement of the night was seen with all the participants networking with each other.
