NVIDIA looks to expand gaming footprint in India image
Currently, there are nearly 100 such gaming cafes and less than 1000 non-exclusive cafes.

The US-headquartered NVIDIA is planning to add 100 gaming cafes in India this year, expanding its gaming footprint the country. The graphic processor major has said that India has a bigger scope for growth with its increasing online gaming community.

Currently, there are nearly 100 such gaming cafes and less than 1000 non-exclusive cafes. The firm has taken a three-pronged approach to grow the digital gaming community in the country. 

Last month, NVIDIA had co-organised the 14th edition of Gamer Connect in Bengaluru.

Vamsi Krishna, Head of Consumer Marketing, South Asia, NVIDIA, said, "India has approximately 16 million gamers who are playing on PCs and consoles and of the,m roughly 1.2 million have a good hardware for playing on digital platforms."

"The company would assist partners to set up the gaming cafes and invest in marketing. We are reaching out to large, medium and small investors we are training them in terms of what kind of return on investment they can expect," he added.
