About the Brand
The Elevation Studio Spa at The Tamara Coorg is nestled into the steep and densely shaded hills of the majestic Western Ghats. One cannot miss the Arabica, Robusta and Cardamom plantations; neither would like to ignore the pepper vines on silver-oak and hardwood species such as rosewood surrounded by a wealth of native flora and fauna in a magnificent ecosystem- here is where the wellness and rejuvenation starts. The Vision
In a 100-year-old plantation bungalow restored into a spa in Yavakapadi Village in Karnataka, the Elevation Studio Spa at The Tamara Coorg offers a perfect getaway to unwind from the stress. The Elevation Studio Spa at The Tamara Coorg epitomizes the concept of wellness through achieving an Inner silence or ‘Antar Mauna’ as it is called in Hindi.
The Experience
The spa prides in providing an experience that cannot be replicated for another. It provides ‘Anubhavas’ (signature experiences) that are sensual and decadent experiences inspired by Ayurveda and international holistic therapies. A line of signature Spa products complements the range of treatments and therapies. The Elevation Spa features tastefully designed six treatment rooms facilitated with a line of Spa products that complements the range of treatments and therapies perfectly. The Elevation also consists of a facial studio and a beauty salon.
Rekindling Process
Along with holistic therapies, The Elevation Studio Spa offers various wellness activities like yoga in state of art ‘Yoga Temple' located in the spa area. The Yoga Temple is a place of divine worship where one can connect with one's inner self, inspired by the ‘Garbha Griha’ or a deep inner sanctum. A dedicated fitness studio, temperature controlled pool, steam, and sauna makes the whole spa experience unique and unforgettable. The customers can enjoy their services from a selection of Aroma Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Balinese and Swedish Massages, Hot Stone Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage and a Signature Coffee Therapy.
About the Owner
Built on a 170-acre functional coffee plantation The Tamara Coorg is the young Shruti Shibulal’s brainchild. Backed by well-known chef Abhijit Saha Shibulal is running the show under her Avant Garde Hospitality banner. All the ingredients used at The Tamara Coorg are grown on-site. Shruti is now planning the Tamara Resorts at Kodaikanal and Alappuzha in South India as the year progresses. In 2009, Shruti received the Star Youth Achiever Award at the Global Marketing Forum. She was also named one of India's Top 25 at 25 by Savvy Magazine. Shruti, like her father, is serious about promoting sustainable living and responsible tourism in India. Keeping this in mind, The Tamara Coorg is her offering to the next generation.
