The Japanese electronics giant, Panasonic recently announced its vision of setting up one lakh charging stations across 25 different Indian cities by the end of 2024. Panasonic will also be providing telematic solutions that can power over a million vehicles.
Manish Sharma, CEO & President, Panasonic India says, “Panasonic wants to be ready with a matching infrastructure to power the new-generation, cleaner vehicles.”
The brand in partnership with Tesla will be setting up mini charging facilities at petrol pumps, malls, parking areas, and specially developed zones in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Amravati, Chennai, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, and Noida.
Panasonic India believes that they might be able to reach individual vehicle users, logistics and e-commerce companies, and fleet owners for managing their transport in a better and efficient manner.
Meanwhile, the brand has been developing telematics solution at India’s R&D facilities that will help manufacturers and providers of vehicles in understanding user patterns through equipment and lithium-ion battery.
