Parakaat to open 50 one-gram jewellery outlets

Parakkat Jewels, one-gram jewellery maker, is looking forward to open 50 outlets in Tamil Nadu. The brand also has plans to open its stores in Delhi and Bengaluru. It currently has 85 showrooms, including several in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. Of the total stores, 65 of them are in Kerala only.

PK Naryana, Managing Director of the company, told Franchise India, “We have planned to open stores in Tamil Nadu. These stores will be run through franchise mode. We are not doing it right now but will do it in the future.”

Due to liking of the consumer for the light-weight jewellery, more and more one-gram jewellery makers in Kerala are expanding fast. They are not only expanding in India but also in the Middle East where there is a huge demand for the metal.

The ornaments, which are lighter in weight unlike artificial jewellery, look similar in finish to regular gold ornaments. Parakkat Jewels claims to provide world class designs, traditional ornaments made of Rudraksh, Sandal, Spadikam, Tulsi and a huge collection of idols. Its ornaments are shampoo washable. Gold layering on silver, brass, copper, watches, idols and trophy sets are also available. The brand undertakes orders for stringing pearl, coral, crystal too.
