Philips Lighting India, one of the leading providers of lighting solutions in the country opened its sixth Light Lounge in Bangalore. Spread over an area of 1300 square feet, the Light Lounge, which is a franchisee-run store is an experience zone to provide the customers with a touch and feel experience of a diverse range of more than 800 designs and concepts from Philips. Determined to consolidate its retail presence in South India, it aims to open more light lounges in 2014 in this region. The company now has 26 light lounges in southern India and the total count is more than 100 in India in addition to around 1200 Light Shoppes in the country.

It has a share of 30 per cent in the lighting market of India.
