Pollo Campero, a Guatemalan fried chicken chain has recently appointed Lite Bite Foods Pvt. Ltd as its master franchisee for the Indian market. Lite Bite Foods Pvt. Ltd is one of the leading organised F&B players in India and is operating various brands including Fresc Co, Asia7, Punjab Grill, Baker Street, and Pinos Pizza.
Pollo Campero has launched its first outlet at Food Union, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. The outlets features pollo picante, the extra crispy and spicy fried chicken and camperitos, crispy nuggets made from 100 per cent chicken breast meat. The company has specially developed ‘veggie burger’ and ‘veggie wrap’ with a special kiddie menu for the Indian market. The menu also features wide variety of six different meal options for kids, all served with juices, french fries and a toy.
"As Lite Bite Foods will be the master franchisee for Pollo Campero, we will be opening up 50 outlets in next two years. Most of these restaurants would be in the metros of Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. In addition to Pollo Campero, we will be opening 200 outlets for our overall brands under Lite Bite foods in three to four years," said Amit Burman, Chairman, Lite Bite Foods Pvt. Ltd. He further added that with Pollo Campero, we will complete our entire brand range by introducing a specialised chicken variety. With an average price of around Rs 150 for a single person's meal, we are perfectly positioned to compete in the market.
