Pollo Tropical, a US-based, Caribbean-inspired fast-casual restaurant chain, has opened its first restaurant in India and its 33rd franchise location globally. This marks the brand’s first opening outside the Western hemisphere.
India’s first Pollo Tropical is located in Delhi. The restaurant is the first of a 10-restaurant development agreement between Pollo Tropical and Delhi-based Paramount Cuisines Pvt. Ltd. Paramount Cuisines will open at least 10 Pollo Tropical locations in the NCR, Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana by 2016.

Pollo Tropical, a subsidiary of the Fiesta Restaurant Group, owns and operates 95 locations in the US plus four licensed restaurants in Florida, US. The company has 33 international franchise locations in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, India, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuela and has development agreements in place for additional franchise units in these areas.
