One of the largest and fastest home healthcare provider, Portea Medical have entered into a strategic alliance with American Megatrends Inc., (AMI) with a leader in the development of smart diagnostic devices, with an aim to deliver improved health outcomes for homecare patients.

The agreement between Portea Medical and AMI is the first such partnership in the Indian home healthcare market that is valued at between $2Billion to $4Billion a year and is growing at the rate of 20 per cent annually.

Significantly, Under the partnership, Portea’s healthcare workers will use AMI’s B.O.L.T. (One touch wireless health tracker to measures blood pressure, Blood Oxygen Levels, Temperature) health monitoring device to collect health data such as NiBP (Non-invasive Blood pressure), Pulse, Blood Oxygen Levels and Temperature from their homecare patients on smart phones.
The collected data will be used to personalise treatment plans and proactively intervene when the conditions of the patients warrant action.
