Punctureman targets franchisees pan-India

Owned by House of Tyres Pvt Ltd, Punctureman plans to take its outlet count to 500 from 175 by this year end.  Established in 2013, Punctureman is a specialist in puncture repair and other services like battery repairs and is seeking franchisees on a pan-India level.

Punctureman has an exclusive pan-India contract with Indian Oil Corporation where the outlets are opened either at the entry or at the exit of Indian Oil pumps but, now the brand has decided to also foray into the local markets and join hands with franchisees aggressively.

Saurov Choudhary, Co-Founder, Punctureman informs: “A brand like Punctureman was really required in such a fragmented puncture and tyres sector. We saw the market was highly unorganised and came up with this concept. Along with me Bhaskar A and Vikas Kaul have co-founded the brand. Whether it’s slowly leaking air or your dashboard tire pressure light has come on, you can bring your vehicle into a local Punctureman to have a Punctureman technician take a look at it.”

On franchising aspect, Choudhary informs: “We operate on a fully franchise model. Indian Oil Dealers need to invest around Rs 2, 75,000 with an area of 50 sq ft (Kiosk). On associating with Punctureman, a local puncture shop will be getting branding, training and other support from our side. This will surely increase the aspirational level for them. Also, everything will be legalised and local puncture wallas will not have to function from road side anymore.”

“We soon plan to launch our Mobile app too for the road side assistance and emergencies on just one call. We also look forward to tie-up with major tyre companies for selling tyres too.” Choudhary comments on Punctureman’s future actions.
