PURE EV has partnered up with UAE-based Arva Electric Vehicles to supply 50,000 ecoDryft and eTryst X motorcycles over two years, scaling up to 60,000 yearly, to fulfil rising demand for sustainable mobility in the Middle East and Africa.

PURE EV, an electric two-wheeler company located in India, has partnered with Arva Electric Vehicles Manufacturing, a Clarion Investment subsidiary in the UAE, to extend its presence in the Middle East and Africa. Under the arrangement, PURE EV will deliver 50,000 units of its flagship electric motorcycles, the ecoDryft and eTryst X, over the next two years, with ambitions to increase to 60,000 units each year in succeeding years.

This agreement is consistent with PURE EV's commitment to developing sustainable transportation and expanding into growing markets where electric vehicles (EVs) are gaining popularity. Dr. Nishanth Dongari, Founder and Managing Director of PURE EV, underlined the partnership's significance, saying, "Our collaboration not only intends to enhance sales but also to develop sustainable transportation solutions in places where electric bikes are witnessing significant adoption." He went on to say that this is a critical milestone in PURE EV's expansion into the Middle Eastern and African markets.

The electric two-wheeler market in the UAE is estimated to develop at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.11% between 2024 and 2031, with market value rising from USD 29.97 million in 2023 to USD 60.19 million by 2031. Rising gasoline prices, government incentives, and advances in the vehicle economy are all driving this growth.

As part of the deal, PURE EV will also provide Arva Electric with critical technical support, including technology and distribution knowledge, to enable smooth market entry. Notably, PURE EV's motorcycles are the first Indian electric two-wheelers to be homologated for use in the Middle East, demonstrating their readiness to satisfy regional regulatory and market demands.

PURE EV, founded at IIT Hyderabad's i-TIC, has a large presence in India, with over 75,000 EV consumers and a network of 70 dealerships. The company has an impressive portfolio of over 120 patents and has created high-performance motorcycles capable of exceeding 30,000 km of travel, considerably contributing to carbon emission reductions.
