Quiznos mulls expansion in Russia

Quiznos, a quick service restaurant (QSR) chain, has lately entered into partnership with QSR Russia Ltd (QRL) with an aim to launch its outlets in Russia. More than 20 outlets are in pipeline to be opened this year via the franchise path, with Saint Petersburg to be home to the first flagship restaurant.

Quiznos is pleased to announce a master franchisee that will best serve Russia's growing middle class.”

However, India, Brazil and the Philippines have recently seen launch of Quiznos outlets. The brand is aiming to introduce over 400 locations in over 40 areas worldwide by 2020. And thus, its partnership with QRL marks a milestone in its growth initiative.

Russia is to host two major world sporting events, viz. the 2014 Winter Olympics and the 2018 World Cup, which also adds to the company’s anticipation for growth there.
