Radisson Blu is planning to open more hotels and resorts in metro cities, state capitals and tier-I cities in India. Presently, there are 26 operational Radisson Blu hotels and resorts in the country. Ten hotels are under development and they are expected to open in cities including Mysore, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Coimbatore.
Raj Rana, Chief Executive Officer, South Asia, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, says, “Our strategy in India is to have a strong brand presence in all state capitals and upcoming tier-II and III cities in India and Radisson Blu hotels offer the best to both corporate business and leisure travelers in cities such as Delhi NCR, Amritsar, Ahmadabad, Indore, Jaipur, Chennai and Guwahati.”
On Radisson Blu’s expansion, Rana, adds, “We plan to have more Radisson Blu hotels predominantly in metro cities, state capitals and tier-I cities in addition to high-end resort locations. Radisson Blu is one of the fastest growing brands in Asia Pacific and we expect that we will have more Radisson Blu hotels over the next few years in line with market demands.”
The current portfolio of the brand is a mix of franchise and management contracts and the brand sees growth of Radisson Blu on both fronts. The brand seeks partners who share a common goal to establish Radisson Blu hotel or resort in the right location for mutual benefit.
