- Realme eyes up to 15% Indian market share by December 2019
Realme is aiming to capture 12-15% of the Indian market share by December 2019. The Chinese company is also eyeing to sell 15 million phones in the year 2019.
In January-March 2019 period, Realme garnered 7.25% smartphone market share. The company will also enter into the accessories market soon.
Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme India, said, “We are aiming at selling 15 million handsets in 2019 and aspire to garner 12-15 per cent market share. We will also introduce full-range mobile accessories.”
Recently, Realme, which used to be a pure online player, has started offline sales.
“We will continue to be an online focus mobile brand, but want to have an offline channel as this segment accounts for 65-70 per cent of total smart handsets sold in the country. But, we will restrict our offline trade channel presence limited to just 20,000 outlets across the country in 2019,” Sheth further stated.
