India’s biggest retailer, Reliance Retail Ltd. (RRL), has lately signed a franchise contract with Payless ShoeSource, a renowned specialty family footwear retailer based in the US. Reliance Retail is Reliance Industries’ subsidiary company, which would probably now be able to easily guarantee value for money to its customer-base.
Reliance Retail has announced its plans to open exclusive franchise outlets of Payless ShoeSource in India. A retail chain named Reliance Footprint is being run by the firm, which owns some 128 stores across the national market. Payless ShoeSource, the retail chain based in Topeka, Kansas, US, has more than 4,400 franchise outlets in Eastern Europe, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Russia and the Philippines to name a few among more than 30 nations.
G. Sankar, Reliance Retail’s CEO Footwear business avowed, “The association underlines our core philosophy of democratizing fashion. We are very excited about this venture and look forward to launch these stores in India next year.”
A wide array of footwear is offered by Reliance Retail, which would be enhanced with the entrance of different footwear brands like Brash, Airwalk and Dexter that are showcased in Payless stores. Payless possesses a unique attribute of offering out-of-the-way sizing service for women, with right-sizing for kids. Now, all kinds of footwear would be available at affordable prices.
