Kids Age, a monthly newspaper for Indian school students has around 150 franchisees who work from home for them. Kids Age business model requires a franchisee to sell the newspaper’s bulk subscriptions to school students across India and help the brand expand its presence to every school. Khilonewala currently has 35 franchisees in 13 states and 25 cities with one international centre in Kuwait.

The brand is now focusing on pan India expansion and targeting to reach 100 centres by the end of 2018. It will also get few more Master Franchisees on board. As of now, it has 3 Master Franchise partners for various territories. Anurag Mehta, CEO, Nita Mehta Group says “Recruiting the right franchisee is always a challenge, since it directly affects the brand name. In Metros people are too tied up, so we are completely focussing on areas like MP and Chhattisgarh for further expansions”.
Investment
Kids Age requires an investment of just Rs 50,000 and RoI can be gained in just 30-90 days. For Khilonewala an Investment of Rs 2.75 lakh-4.75 lakh is required with an area of 200-250 sq.ft in your home only. A franchisee can earn anything between Rs 30,000-75,000 depending on the number of members serviced in its territory. Nita Mehta franchise model requires around Rs 6 lakh as investment.
