Rosebys, a home furnishing and lifestyle retail chain ties-up with K. K. Birla Group’s Style Spa to set up 100 shop-in-shops by March 2010. It plans to be a Rs. 500 crore Company by 2014.
Speaking to Abha Garyali of FIHL, Aloke Banerjee, CEO, Rosebys said, “We have tied up with Style Spa to have 100 shop-in-shops operational by next year. Presently Style Spa has 94 operational stores and we hope to take the count to 100 soon. We are planning to expand these outlets through the master franchisee mode.”
He added, “This tie- up will provide comfort to the customers by offering the entire range of furniture and furnishings under one roof. Moreover, it will provide synergy to both the verticals as well.” Nowadays, customers look out for stores that incorporate furniture as well as furnishing items. Therefore, with this tie-up both the companies aim to earn high benefits. The shop-in-shops will have an average space of 200-500 sq. ft.
Rosebys, is also in talks with real estate, paint and consumer care Companies to make the partnership even more inclusive. The company had already tied-up with Cholamandalam MS for home insurance and has signed a deal with Style Spa for furniture and retail space. Gujarat Heavy Chemicals (GHCL) had acquired the UK-based Rosebys in 2006 and rolled out its chain in India in October 2008. The company has currently over 100 outlets across India and plans to expand with more 500 stores by 2014.
