Royal Enfield, the two-wheeler division of Eicher Motors, today reported 58.78 per cent jump in total sales at 44,491 units in September.
The two-wheeler manufacturer had sold 28,020 units in September 2014, Eicher Motors BSE 2.69 % said in a BSE filing as per PTI.
Sales in the domestic market stood at 43,741 as against 27,540 units in the same month last year, up 58.82 per cent. Exports during the month rose 56.25 per cent to 750 units compared with 480 units in September 2014.
Royal Enfield is based in Chennai, India. Originally, a British motorcycle company, Royal Enfield and indigenous Madras Motors, it is now a subsidiary of Eicher Motors Limited, an Indian automaker.
